biographies:
Dan first approached John Steele, originally our lead singer, in 2006 with the
idea to form a local Southern Gospel group out of their home church in
Columbus, Ohio. The two agreed that ministry must be the foremost goal, and
that no matter what, God gets the Glory!
They set out to find another person to share their vision and passion, and had
some great experiences along the way. Although every single person that
joined them over the next year and a half were fantastic and talented
individuals, God had something really powerful in store.
In early 2008, John was talking to a long-time friend and mentor who just
happened to be one of Ohio's most talented Tenors. The Lord led them into a
conversation that turned out to be a divine appointment! Eric Hill joined DRT in
January 2008 as Tenor. God used the Trio in powerful ministry in many states!
The group excelled and managed to record some great songs in 2008.
In late 2008 John accepted an offer to join a full time ministry. Eric Hill moved
to Lead, and Bryan Potteiger came aboard in late 2008 as the new Tenor. The
rest is history in the making!

"I just wanted to thank you for
the word that you received
and sent to my husband and
our church. It was a very
timely message. Of course,
the Lord is always on time.
But, we, my husband and I, and
also the leadership of this
church, have prayed, fasted,
labored, planted, taught, sewn
and worked so diligently for
so long, that this word has
confirmed the new hope that
has been birthed within us
recently, as a body of
believers.
Sometimes when the work is
hard and long, you tend to
lose hope when you don't see
the results immediately. ...
within the past 2 months, God
has sent us miracles and
breakthroughs in several
areas. I knew if we'd just hang
on, God would pull us through
-- and praise Him -- He has.
I just wanted to again say
thanks, and tell you that The
Damascus Rd Trio did an
awesome job Sunday. Thank
you for allowing the Spirit to
have control and touch
people the way He wanted to.
Not many groups out there
are willing to step aside when
they are supposed to have
the service, but you did, and
we say thank you. Keep us in
your prayers and we will lift
you up in ours. God bless
each of you and your families
and your anointed ministry.
Be blessed.
